The Competiton
PRIVATE INTERVIEW: Each contestant will be allowed a ten (10) minute personal interview with the panel of judges. Each contestant will have 45 seconds to open her interview and 30 seconds to close her interview. Interviews will focus on information provided on the Contestant Fact Sheet, current events, any issues of political or societal concern, etc...
Each contestant will be scored on her ability to fulfill the responsibilities of "the job", her presence, her personality, her personal appearance and her beauty. The Private Interview accounts for 50% of the contestant's total score.
ONSTAGE QUESTION IN STREET WEAR: Each contestant will model "street wear" of her choosing. While in street wear, each contestant will answer an question. Questions will be of a general nature. Each contestant will be scored on charisma, stage presence, personality, poise, beauty, and ability to be a spokesperson for the Miss Heartland Organization. This phase of competition accounts for 15% of the contestant's total score.
EVENING WEAR: Each contestant will model evening wear of her choosing. Each contestant will be scored on beauty, sense of confidence, personality, stage presence, posture, carriage, and grace. The Evening Wear Competition counts for 35% of the contestant's total score.
Your contestant number along with your interview time will be emailed to you on September 17, 2007.
