MISS HEARTLAND/MISS ETOWN AREA/MISS CENTRAL KENTUCKY
Each Miss Heartland contestant will be allowed a ten (10) minute personal interview with the panel of judges. Each contestant will have 9:30 of question and answer and 30 seconds to close her interview.
OUTSTANDING TEENS
Each Teen contestant will be allowed an eight (8) minute personal interview with the panel of judges. Each contestant will have 8:00 of question and answer. There will be NO opening nor closing.
Contestants, in both "Miss" and "Teen," will be scored on her ability to fulfill the responsibilities of "the job", her presence, her personality, and her personal appearance and beauty. The Private Interview accounts for 25%(Miss)/35%(Teen) of the contestant's total score.

MISS HEARTLAND/MISS ETOWN AREA/MISS CENTRAL KENTUCKY
Each Miss Heartland contestant will model a swimsuit of her choosing. The swimsuit may be one-piece or two-piece, but must be pageant appropriate and in good taste.
OUTSTANDING TEENS
Each Outstanding Teen contestant will model shorts and a shirt of her choice. You MAY wear fitness attire from www.fitcouture.com. If you choose attire from Fit Couture , we recommend any of the Tanks and any of the shorts except the Saratoga Shorts. Contestants participating in the 2010 Miss Kentucky's Outstanding Teen Pageant wore the Vegas II Top and the Santa Barbara Shorts. It is NOT mandatory that you wear Fit Couture attire. If you choose not to wear Fit Couture, you shorts should be black in color and should be Soffees or something similar in style. Your shirt should be a solid color tank top or t-shirt. Contestants will wear white tennis shoes/sneakers with white ankle socks. If you have any questions about the attire, please contact Brian Jeffries.
The Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit/Sportswear is designed to see how well the contestant maintains a lifestyle of good physical health, whether she meets the public expectation of a titleholder, and whether or not she has the confidence needed to be a titleholder. The contestant’s drive, energy, and presence are to be likewise considered. This phase of competition accounts for 15%(Miss)/10%(Teen) of the contestant's total score.
